Past 1974
In 1974, after years of experience in precision machining, Giovanni Bassi decided to establish O.M.C.A. di Bassi Giovanni, based in Offanengo (Cremona), Italy.
The company was founded as a precision tooling workshop serving leading local companies in the automotive and electromechanical industries, specializing in the manufacturing of tooling, stamping dies, prototypes, samples, and small-batch production. Over the years, the company has successfully addressed the evolving challenges of the industry, continuously expanding its activities and expertise.
By offering an increasingly comprehensive, end-to-end service, from design to finished product, OMCA has entered new industries and broadened its scope of operations.
In 2000, with the next generation joining the family business, the company expanded into new international markets, enabling O.M.C.A. to further broaden its range of services.
This evolution marked the transition from O.M.C.A. di Bassi Giovanni to OMCA SRL.

OMCA SRL is a leading company in the mechanical engineering industry, with over 65 years of experience in both domestic and international markets. The company offers a comprehensive range of services, including consulting, analysis, development, design, manufacturing, assembly, maintenance, retrofitting, and contract machining of simple and complex mechanical components, tooling, and assemblies.
Its expertise also covers industrial machinery and equipment, testing machines and test benches, inspection tools and gauges, run-in testing machines, single-stage and progressive stamping dies, small- and medium-batch production, as well as advanced automated machinery and systems incorporating PLC, SCADA, and MES technologies, along with control and monitoring software.
OMCA SRL has the expertise and capabilities to process and work with a wide range of materials, including metals such as aluminum, all types of steel, cast iron, brass, copper, titanium, forgings and castings, as well as all types of plastics.
Furthermore, through collaboration with a network of reliable and highly qualified suppliers, we are able to provide a wide range of heat treatments (carburizing, hardening, vacuum hardening, plasma nitriding, etc.) and surface treatments (black oxide coating, galvanizing, Endurion coating, chrome plating, nickel plating, plasma coating, painting, etc.).
